gifts of mother nature

The coo of a cuckoo the bumble of a bee

The gurgles of a stream the swishing of a tree

Are all nature’s voices which we love to hear

Sounds that bring in our daily lives lots of cheer

The unique smell of the rain soaked earth

Can you ever measure its dollar’s worth

The scent of a rose or a jasmine maybe

Or the balmy zephyr coming from the sea

Take a deep breath and you shall smell

Nature’s whiff and feel your heart swell

The sun like a toddler’s giant orange ball

Is a blissful sight during a morning stroll

The formation of birds flying above the ocean blue

Firmly sculpted in the mind’s eye long after they flew

As you walk on the grass, the velvety feel

Touching, tickling your feet and also your heel

The silkiness of the sheep’s fleece

Touch of Nature in all of these

The sweetness of honey, the tanginess of a lime

The juiciness of a mango all such tastes sublime

The freshness of the water of the cool mountain springs

Nothing quenches your thirst better and satiation brings

Nature has the elements to gladden each faculty

Receive them bounteously, slow down your celerity
